What We Do
In Tulisan Puan, we believe that women and the members of marginalised groups have the capabilities and knowledge to empower themselves. The problem is often related to the limited space and opportunities for them, as if it is as simple as other women or other parties representing their existence and problems.
Producing New Narratives on Feminism
Tulisan Puan produces academic essays, articles, and writings that are – maybe – unpopular, provoking and disrupting the existing narratives. The writings are based on research, interviews, and discussion with women and the members of marginalised groups, and it is not intended to represent their opinion but merely to share the other narratives that never talk about because people do not want to talk about it.
Education Programs
We also conduct several education activities for women and the members of marginalised groups to share and produce knowledge together. The education programs are not intended to educate them, but as a learning space for us and them
Building Feminist Leadership
Together with the community, we build feminist leadership, in which we are looking for a unique approach by ourselves, for ourselves and to ourselves as we are the margin of systems of economic, social and political power.
Expanding Reproductive Freedoms
Tulisan Puan works to strengthen reproductive freedoms for women and the members of marginalised groups by providing range of information so that they can exercise their rights to decide in regards to their reproductive systems.
